The Dufferin facility had already been expanded to keep up with demand of the City’s goal of achieving a 70% diversion rate from landfill, the second anaerobic digestion facility on Disco Road, which has been successfully running for two years now, has the ability to process 75,000 tonnes of green bin waste per year and along with the Dufferin Organics Facility the combined processing capacity will be at 130,000 tonnes annually.

They worked together with AECOM to get the design, layout and structural requirements of eight bolted steel tanks co-ordinated and shipped to site for erection within a tight timeline.
