Sustainability
Climate change and the need to act is increasingly being recognised by governments, businesses, and the general population alike. The carbon emissions of businesses and their green credentials are becoming more and more important environmental impact factors when customers make their buying decisions.
Businesses are critical in the fight against climate change as they are the source of most of the world's emissions. The targets set by governments will never be achieved if businesses don't move towards them. That is why businesses need to play their part.1
Carbon Neutral
To this end Permastore has embarked on its journey towards becoming carbon neutral, mapping and benchmarking the carbon emissions it creates from its manufacturing activities.
Taking action towards reducing carbon emissions will enable Permastore, with the support of its ecosystem of supply partners, to progress the development of effective mechanisms that tackle climate change both upstream and downstream within the bolted tank industry.
Permastore's benchmark Carbon Footprint is now calculated in line with the Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Protocol emission Scope 1, Scope 2, and Scope 3, and audited and verified in accordance with the criteria set out by the British Standards Institute PAS2060:2014.
Key Initiatives
Determining the Company's benchmark footprint was a starting point, with the Company now working on a number of companywide carbon reduction projects, including Zeremis® Carbon Lite Steel and the delivery of its 2023/24 Emissions Report. For more information contact enquiries@permastore.com.
