Permastore continues to build on the success it has had over the last decade in Brazil and the PERMASTORE® Glass-Fused-to-Steel product remains the product of choice for The State Sanitation Company of Paraná (Sanepar). The latest project consisted of a 2,400m³ PERMASTORE® Glass-Fused-to-Steel Tank for Potable Water Storage and was supplied by long-term Distributor Felchack Empreiteira de Obras.
Sanepar started the construction of a new water tank in the southern region of Maringá. The tank will hold over 2 million litres of potable water and will strengthen the water supply to several districts. The investment made by the company is approximately R$ 2.2 million.
The manager of Sanepar Mr Sergio Veroneze commented as to why Glass-Fused-to-Steel was chosen instead of concrete: “It is a technology with wide applications globally and has proven advantages over concrete. It has high durability, low maintenance and great speed in the assembly”.
Another reason the PERMASTORE® product was chosen was due to its modular nature and associated rapid build times as the tank build must be completed in a maximum of 15 days as it is due to be operational by the end of this year.
Customers continue to choose Glass-Fused-to-Steel tanks over concrete due to the asset value of this type of structure and the Features & Benefits of the performance driven Glass-Fused-to-Steel coating.
